Fashion is not about just keeping up with the latest trends anymore. More and more we are seeing designers tie in their lines with amazing causes. Such was the case on June 23rd 2011 as City Model and Talent held their third-annual “Fighting Leukemia With Fashion” event at Lounge 404 in New York City in order to help raise funds for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). Attendees included editorial and social elite, which included The Real Housewives of New York City stars Alex Mccord and Simon Van Kempen who not only watched the runway show intently, but also mingled graciously with surrounding fans. Everyone at the event was in high spirits, especially with the help of sponsors like Johnny Walker Black, Ketel One, Tanqueray, Jose Quervo, and Captain Morgan, & the open bar provided by Restaurant Lounge 404 as well as top PR Firm Beautiful Planning Marketing & PR known for dazzling celebrity studded events.

Designers featured for the evening included Kahri by KahriAnne Kerr, Ingrid Thelisme, and Brazilian Bezel Swimwear. Not only did everyone in attendance get to experience City Model and Talents’s mission to fight Leukemia through their fashion show, the proceeds went to LLS, the world’s largest voluntary health organization dedicated to increasing funds for lifesaving blood cancer research. These funds will help LLS in its quest to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. The evening also afforded LLS the opportunity to add additional names to the bone marrow registry list.
