“Follies” Opens Tomorrow, May 9 at the CTG/Ahmanson
The Kennedy Center’s much lauded Broadway production of James Goldman and Stephen Sondheim’s “Follies,” which recently received an impressive array of awards and nominations, including eight 2012 Tony Award nominations, nine Drama Desk Award nominations, five Outer Critics Circle Award nominations and two Drama League Award nominations, will open for an exclusive Los Angeles engagement Thursday, May 9 at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre.
Performances of “Follies” at the Los Angeles Music Center theatre (which began with previews on May 3) will continue through June 9, 2012.
With book by James Goldman and music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, “Follies” is directed by Eric Schaeffer with choreography by Warren Carlyle and music direction by James Moore, scenic design by Derek McLane, costume design by Gregg Barnes, lighting design by Natasha Katz, sound design by Kai Harada, and the original orchestrations by Jonathan Tunick.

They took over the ballroom with clips, trailers, and discussions about their upcoming 3D films Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and Prometheus.
