Both times the mousse arrived in a tall glass goblet, sprouting glassy tiles of house-made peanut brittle. And both times there was a grassy little microgreen on top.

Deadline.com is reporting that Tony nominee Kenny Leon will direct a film remake of Robert Harling’s “Steel Magnolias” for the Lifetime network. The film, which will be produced by Craig Zadan and Neil Meron and Sony Pictures TV, will be set in present-day Louisiana and feature an all African-American cast in the leading roles.

In 1941, Captain America was introduced to the world. Steve Rogers was a kid of the Great Depression who struggled to make money as an artist and decided to enlist in the military during World War II. Initially told he was physically incapable of being accepted, Rogers participated in Operation: Rebirth and was made into a super-soldier thanks to a special formula and a treatment of “vita-rays.” As Captain America, he and his partner Bucky Barnes, along with other superheroes of the era, fought Axis forces and protected innocent lives from a variety of threats. Circumstances led to Steve being frozen alive soon before the war ended and he spent decades in suspended animation.
